Would love to have this feature :) |

For this to be possible, Youtarr would have to have the cookies of your main account to see the playlist and index it. Because most of us are using burner accounts (for obvious reasons) for downloading, Youtarr would need to support using separate cookies for pulling playlists from that channel only and using the other set of cookies to download the videos. While we are at it, it would be worth it to just apply this to all private playlists in general. As a workaround, I took all of my private playlists on my main account and set them to unlisted to feed the URL into Youtarr. As a workaround for 'Watch Later" being private only, you can create a new unlisted playlist and make that playlist your new 'Watch Later" playlist. Obviously, this is extra work because you must save the videos to the playlist instead of "Watch Later", but it does work. |
Uh oh!

Summary
Add support for importing/downloading a user’s YouTube Watch Later playlist in Youtarr.
Why
Many users save videos to Watch Later instead of manually copying URLs or subscribing to full channels. Supporting this playlist would make Youtarr much more useful for personal archiving.
Desired behavior
Allow adding the YouTube Watch Later playlist as a source
Periodically scan it for new videos
Download newly added videos automatically
Avoid re-downloading already archived videos
Optionally remove videos from Watch Later after successful download, if technically possible
Notes
Since Watch Later is private, this likely requires cookie/authenticated yt-dlp support.
