Pi Zero 2W - Install issue

Good Day

I am trying to install openrowingmonitor on Pi Zero 2W with Pi OS Lite Debian Trixie, but halfway through I get the notification package 'pigpio' has no installation candidate.

Any insights perhaps on what may be causing this?

Try an older version of Raspberry Pi OS, as we don't support Trixie?

It is unexpected, as it is still listed to be available: https://packages.debian.org/trixie/utils/pigpio-tools

I tried with different version of Raspberry Pi OS. I think that the 64 bit is the first one that I tried.
The 32bit Legacy Lite is the one that has progressed the most in the installation process.

Sorry I missed that this is Pi Zero. Can you try the bullseye version of the OS (assuming you have tried to use Trixi or Bookworm so far)? the issue is that the W2 project has not been updated to the new dependencies. I think it should work with bookworm but I never tried Pi Zero.

We are no longer depend on the noble.

Are you sure you are using the right repo and install script?

There is a huge difference between the Zero and the Zero 2W. The Zero is End Of Life for us, as there is a version issue between Python, Node.js and several other packages (see #33 for more details). As this is quite fundamental issue and upstream, we can't fix this.

The Zero 2W shares the architecture with the regular 3 and 4, and can simply install the current branch using the normal install script. This requires changing the swap settings (see https://github.com/JaapvanEkris/openrowingmonitor/blob/main/docs/installation.md)

The Zero 2W should be able to install version 0.9.7 as any other supported RPi.

Yeah, node.js 14 is obsolete for years now. There is an issue with Webkit for Arm stopping at Node 14, and several other packages now requiring higher Node versions. Most older packages are not available anymore or are withdrawn due to security issues. Hence my fanatic drive for keeping the package list updated.
