Awesome, cool to hear that even that works. I added native ARM support not all that long ago, so this is the first report confirming it works. Thanks a lot for sharing the instructions for others to follow! |

I have to thank you for awesome Rayforge. Touch area for jog dir registers only in the halfs towards the center. Once you know one can circumvent it. I forgot to mention. CU On 23/10/2026, 02:38 Samuel ***@***.***> wrote:

I put it here, cause i don't have any issues with it. Maybe a few functions are a bit slow due to Python on a cheap quad core tablet, but everything just works reliably. Rayforge1.12 runs without any issues on Debian for Arm! You have an Arm tablet running Debian? Want to try?
I made some short notes, maybe they help:
Debian 13 SDcard image for Doogee U10 (AliX)

Save your project often. Power saving options on this image are broken and might hang up your system. NOT Rayforge's fault.
1. Flatpak + Flathub
sudo apt install flatpak
flatpak remote-add --if-not-exists flathub https://dl.flathub.org/repo/flathub.flatpakrepo
2. Install Rayforge
flatpak install flathub org.rayforge.rayforge
3. Grant file access
flatpak override org.rayforge.rayforge --filesystem=home
4. Fix document portal (the fusermount3 ownership bug)
sudo apt install xdg-desktop-portal
sudo chown root:root /usr/bin/fusermount3
sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/fusermount3
sudo groupadd fuse 2>/dev/null
sudo usermod -aG fuse chaos
5. Reboot (applies fuse group)
sudo reboot
Verify portal is running
systemctl --user status xdg-document-portal
Run
flatpak run org.rayforge.rayforge
sudo apt install openssh-server
sudo systemctl start ssh
From PC: ssh chaos@
If the file picker breaks again: the fix is always sudo chown root:root /usr/bin/fusermount3 && sudo chmod 4755 /usr/bin/fusermount3 && systemctl --user restart xdg-document-portal.
to STOP SSH:sudo systemctl stop ssh
Ask, if something is unclear.
