tsup is the build tool of choice for ORCH — a CLI runtime for orchestrating AI coding agent teams.

Our tsup config:

Why tsup was the right choice:

• Zero-config ESM + DTS bundle in one command
• Fast builds for a project with 50+ source files
• DTS generation crucial — ORCH exports engine API for programmatic use
• Works perfectly with Node ESM ("type": "module") and strict TypeScript

Project structure:

src/
  bin/cli.ts          → bundled as CLI entry
  index.ts            → exported as library API
  domain/             → state machine, models
  application/        → orchestrator, services
  infrastructure/     → adapters, storage, process manager
  tui/                → Ink/React TUI
