Add tvOS simulator support to the Device panel and device tools
#16591
I am developing an Apple TV app with T3 Code. I would like an agent to open the tvOS simulator, inspect the app, and verify focus navigation while I watch it in the Device panel, using the same workflow available for iOS simulators.
Current limitation
Xcode's simulator tools can discover the installed Apple TV simulators, but T3 Code does not expose them through its device tools.
Observed on October 6, 2026:
xcrun simctl list devices available lists two available tvOS 27.0 simulators: Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) and its 1080p variant. Both were shut down.
T3 Code's device_list returns only an iPhone 17 on the local host, despite additional iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV simulators being available through simctl.
Calling device_open with hostId: "local" and the valid Apple TV simulator UUID returns No device <UUID> on host local. Call device_list for current ids.
The exposed device tool schemas accept only ios and android as platform values.
Environment: macOS 27.0.1, Xcode 27.0 (27A266a), tvOS 27.0 simulator runtime. T3's device inventory reports device hub 0.12.0 and agent-device 0.21.12 as the required/installed local tool versions. This verification covered discovery and the rejected open request; tvOS streaming and automation through T3 were not tested because opening was rejected.
Please consider adding tvOS simulator support to the Device panel and agent-facing device tools:
Discover installed, available Apple TV simulators and identify their platform explicitly as tvOS.
Open/boot a selected Apple TV simulator and display its live screen in the Device panel.
Provide tvOS-appropriate remote input for directional focus navigation, Select, and Back/Menu, so agents and users can verify an Apple TV app's interactions.
Expose supported inspection and automation operations, and clearly explain any limitations rather than implying all iOS operations apply to tvOS.
A useful first milestone would be discovery, booting, and live viewing. Remote input and semantic inspection could follow if they require additional work in the underlying device tooling.
Workaround and impact
I can use Xcode/Simulator and xcrun simctl outside the Device panel. However, I cannot currently use T3's integrated device workflow to watch and interact with the Apple TV simulator or have an agent verify focus navigation through that integration.
Would tvOS support fit the intended scope of the Device integration? If so, what initial scope would maintainers prefer?

The [Device documentation](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/blob/main/docs/user/devices.md) describes iOS Simulator and Android Emulator support, and the [platform contract](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code/blob/main/packages/contracts/src/device.ts) defines only
iosandandroid. I therefore understand this as a request for an additional supported platform.Requested capability
