Environment

QGIS 2.16.2 on OSX
Plugin version: 2.5

(QGIS 2.16.3 on Windows doesnt crash with these steps)

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make a selection and activate Item Browser
  2. In the Item Browser panel click the 'close panel' button (X-button in top corner) => QGIS Crash!
