I have been pulling computers apart since school and never really stopped. Most of my paid work has been building products end to end, but the part I keep coming back to is the layer underneath: servers, deployment, and what is actually happening when something breaks.
I run Fedora, and that machine also hosts a self-hosted LLM inference stack, serving local models through rootless Podman behind Caddy and Tailscale, along with a handful of other services I would rather run myself than rent.
I also mod consoles. A Switch, a PS4 and a few others. At this point I enjoy the modding considerably more than the games.
Most of what I know I learned by breaking something and then fixing it.
