Live timing not showing in the sensor card. Race control live feed works
Thanks for the detailed report and logs. The issue was caused by the live data card treating the timing source as unavailable during qualifying because the race-only lap count had no state, even though valid driver timing data was present.
A fix has now been prepared so qualifying timing is displayed whenever driver data is available.
A fix for this issue is now available in v5.7.1-beta.1, a BETA pre-release of F1 Sensor.
To test the beta version, open HACS in Home Assistant, go to Integrations, and find F1 Sensor. Click the three-dot menu and select Redownload. Make sure Show beta versions is enabled in the HACS settings for this integration. Alternatively, you can download the release manually from the Releases page.
For live data card fixes, restart Home Assistant after updating and reload your browser so the dashboard loads the latest bundled card assets.
Your feedback on the beta is very welcome — please report any issues you run into so they can be addressed before the stable release.
A fix for this issue is now available in v5.7.1, the latest stable release of F1 Sensor.
To update via HACS, open Home Assistant, go to HACS → Integrations, find F1 Sensor, and click Update. If you installed it manually, download the latest release from the Releases page and replace the existing files.
After updating, restart Home Assistant to apply the changes.
For bundled live data card fixes, reload your browser after restarting Home Assistant. If you still have the old standalone HACS dashboard card installed, remove the old card repository and stale dashboard resource only after confirming the bundled card works.
@Nicxe I still seem to have this issue at Singapore running 5.8.0-beta.1.
In a web browser or the iOS companion app, the timing card is not showing data for any of the live pre-race sessions or the replay set to either ‘automatic source’ or pinning the current replay. See screenshots where the timing module correctly titles itself SQ2 and driver positions appear on the map, but there is no timing data.
I can replicate this replaying any pre-race session.
Thanks for confirming this and for providing the additional screenshots. I have reopened the issue because the original fix only covered cases where the driver positions entity had an unknown state.
Your reproduction shows that the timing module can still be blocked during live and replayed practice or qualifying sessions even though the card has identified the correct session and qualifying part, and the track map has received all 22 drivers. The current evidence suggests that valid timing attributes may be present while the entity is marked unavailable, which the original fix does not handle.
Please attach the debug logs from the Singapore SQ2 reproduction, ideally covering the replay being loaded and started. This will confirm whether the driver timing rows are present while the entity is unavailable or whether they are missing earlier in the data flow.
I will extend the fix and regression coverage to include live and replayed practice, qualifying, and sprint qualifying sessions. No configuration changes should be required.
