Low-/no-tech educational content

As part of the eventual release and marketing alongside WP 6.9, we'll want to work on some low-tech / no-tech educational content for site owners that can be leveraged in WP 6.9 about page / blog post as well as any direct outreach the WP AI team makes to help promote the AI Experiments plugin. As we iterate on what this could be, we can update this issue placeholder content with a checklist and/or list of sub-issues to help track what's needed.

Hi @jeffpaul and @karmatosed — I would like to help with #47.

I saw the latest note that the broad educational-content work was deferred beyond 6.9. Rather than drafting a large, unscoped content set, I would like to propose one small first deliverable:

“Try the WordPress AI plugin safely: a 10-minute guide for site owners.”

Target audience: site owners and content creators who use the Block Editor but do not write code.

Proposed scope:

• explain that the plugin is experimental and should first be tested on a staging/test site;
• explain the AI Connector and provider-credential requirement without recommending a provider;
• enable one easy-to-review feature, such as title suggestions or alt-text generation;
• test with non-sensitive sample content and manually review the result;
• show what environment details and screenshots to include when reporting feedback.

I would keep developer APIs, provider comparisons, and production deployment outside this first piece. The initial deliverable would be an 800–1,200 word English tutorial plus a short screenshot checklist.

Before I draft it, could you confirm:

1. whether this scope fits the current direction of Low-/no-tech educational content #47; and
2. whether the preferred destination is the AI handbook, a Make WordPress AI blog post, the plugin documentation, or another location?

AI assistance disclosure: I used Codex to audit the current repository documentation and help structure this proposal. I reviewed the proposal and will manually verify the final copy, product behavior, screenshots, and links before submitting any content.

@linhaixin45-cmyk thanks for the ping, and quickly yes this would be great to work on. I would say a make/ai post would be great (that we could cross-post to other make sites). So if you want to start on this, then I'd be happy to help review any draft that you come up with!
