This is not our API. This repository is an independent, third-party profile of a company's publicly available API surface, maintained by API Evangelist. API Evangelist does not operate, host, resell, or support this company's APIs, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the company unless stated on the profile.
Where the information came from. Everything here is assembled from material a member of the public can reach with a browser and no credentials — the company's own website, developer portal and documentation, the specifications it publishes for public use (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema,
apis.json,llms.txtand similar), its public repositories, and its public status, pricing and changelog pages. Nothing here is obtained by breaching a system, defeating an access control, or using credentials of any kind. The rating is an independent assessment. The Kin Score and Agent Readiness rating are independently calculated scores of a company's public API artifacts, produced by API Evangelist against a published rubric. They are not certifications, endorsements, security assessments, or audits, and they score published artifacts — not the quality, safety, or security of the software.
Corrections, re-scores, and removal are free. No partnership, contract, or purchase is required, and you do not need to justify the request.
- Something wrong? Open an issue on this repository, or email info@apievangelist.com.
- Published something new? Ask for a re-score and we will re-run the rating.
- Want the listing taken down? Say so and we will honor it. The profile is reduced to your company name, a factual description, and a link to your own site, and the company is recorded as unrated — never scored zero for having asked.
Response times. Acknowledgement within one business day; removal or restriction within two business days; corrections and re-scores within five business days.
Not from the company, and here with a question? You are welcome here — we would rather be the front line and point you the right way than have a good report go nowhere. What this repository can answer is narrow, though, so it is worth knowing who you are actually looking for:
- A question about how the API works, an account, billing, or a bug in the service — that is the company's own support, not us. We profile this API; we do not operate it and cannot see your account.
- A bug in an open-source project we only catalog — file it on that project's own repository. This has happened with a real and correct bug report that reached us instead of the people who could fix it, which helped nobody.
- Anything about this listing itself — the description, the tags, the rating, a missing or wrong artifact — is ours. Open an issue here.
- Not sure, or something general about API Evangelist or APIs.io — open an issue on the APIs.io Inbox and we will route it.
This repository contains no software, and we will never ask you to download anything. There is no build, release, installer, or binary here — only text and machine-readable API descriptions, so there is nothing here that can be "corrupt" or need "repairing". Any issue, comment, or email claiming otherwise and offering a download link is not from us and is hostile. Do not follow the link; it is a lure. Report it to GitHub and, if you like, tell us at info@apievangelist.com so we can take it down.
On a security or compliance team? Email info@apievangelist.com with security in the subject line and you will get a person, not a form. We will tell you exactly which public URLs this profile was built from so your team can see the same surface we did, and we will take the listing down on request while you work through it.
Full detail: Where this data comes from
Swell is a customizable, API-first headless commerce platform powering modern B2C, B2B, subscription, and marketplace experiences. It exposes a server-side Backend API for managing the full commerce data model (products, variants, carts, orders, payments, refunds, shipments, returns, subscriptions, accounts, invoices, coupons, promotions, gift cards, content, files, events, webhooks) plus a public-key client-side Frontend API for storefronts and an experimental GraphQL endpoint. The platform ships official Node and PHP libraries, a universal JavaScript SDK (Swell.js), headless storefront starters for Next.js (Horizon, verswell-commerce, nextjs-commerce) and Nuxt (Origin), a Swell Apps platform with CLI and Apps SDK for extending the data and logic layers via custom data models, events, notifications, webhooks, and edge functions running in 200+ locations, plus AI coding-agent skills and Claude Code plugins.

Server-side REST API authorized with a secret API key and store ID. Covers products, variants, stock, categories, attributes, purchase links, carts, orders, payments, refunds, shipments, returns, subscriptions, subscription plans, accounts, addresses, cards, credits, invoices, coupons, promotions, gift cards, content pages, files, events, and webhooks. Supports MongoDB-style where filters with operators ($eq, $ne, $gt, $gte, $lt, $lte, $in, $nin, $regex, $type, $exists, $and, $or, $nor, $all, $elemMatch, $size), sort, limit (1-1000, default 15), page, search, expand, fields, and include. Official libraries connect over a custom wire protocol on port 8443 for improved performance and caching; HTTPS REST is available at api.swell.store.

Public-key-authorized REST API designed for storefronts, JAMstack apps, and SSR frameworks. Powers Swell.js and the official Next.js (Horizon, verswell-commerce, nextjs-commerce, nextjs-builder) and Nuxt (Origin) headless starters. Exposes products, categories, attributes, carts (with coupon and gift-card application, recovery, and order submission), authenticated customer accounts (login, recovery, addresses, cards, orders, subscriptions), store settings, payment settings, currencies, menus, and content models. Authenticated with a public key (pk_...) and a session token making it safe to use from any client context.

Experimental (alpha) GraphQL endpoint that exposes a curated subset of the storefront commerce model — products, attributes, categories, accounts, sessions, carts, orders, payments, payment settings, subscriptions, store settings, currencies, and navigation menus. Authorized with a public storefront key passed in the Authorization header. Notable limits: no nested queries, no payment tokenization, no abandoned-cart recovery, no guest cart email updates. A GraphQL playground is available at /playground when logged into the dashboard.

Event-driven HTTP callbacks for cart, order, subscription, payment, account, and product lifecycle events. Configurable via the dashboard (Developer → Webhooks) or programmatically through the Backend API and Swell Apps. Payloads are JSON POSTs with id, date_created, model, type, and data. Endpoints must return 2xx; failed deliveries retry hourly for two days, continue hourly after, and auto-disable after three days. Webhooks originate from the documented Swell IP allowlist (52.52.111.237, 54.219.85.17, 54.241.235.166, plus 216.218.185.0/27, 216.218.244.192/27, 74.80.234.0/24).

Swell Apps extend the platform with custom data models (added fields or new entities), events (triggering functions, webhooks, and notifications), edge functions deployed to 200+ locations with no cold start, and admin UI surfaces (settings, content views). Apps are distributed via a swell.json manifest and built with the Swell CLI and Apps SDK; TypeScript bindings are published in the app-types package. Used for first-party integrations (Contentful, Builder.io, honest reviews) and third-party merchant extensions.
