Summary

Before: after #8 removed the Spec Kit tooling, Spec Kit was still mentioned across the 0.1.0 feature artifacts (specs/001-engineering-baseline/), the README and ADR-0018: "historical" banners, the Spec Kit research decision and source links, plan Phase 5 and the tooling/spec-kit/ tree, user story 4 tasks T039–T047, example-mapping rule 7, and bundle/preset wording.

After: the only remaining mention of Spec Kit is ADR-0021 itself (its title, file name, and the two index links to it), which records what was removed and why.

How:

  • Removed the banners, the Spec Kit research decision and its source links, the "Spec Kit Distribution" tree, and bundle fixture paths from the plan.
  • Plan Phase 5, tasks Phase 6 (US4, T039–T047), and example-mapping Rule 7 are now short "withdrawn by ADR-0021" placeholders, so their numbers are not reused (same pattern as FR-013 and SC-005 to SC-007).
  • Bundle, preset and Codex/Copilot fresh-install wording was removed from T008, T051, T057, T058, the plan, and the dependency notes.
  • ADR-0018: the decision line now says "living specifications in specs/<feature>/spec.md" instead of "Spec Kit 1.0.5", and the status and follow-up lines refer to "specification tooling". This edits an accepted ADR's text, which is a deliberate exception to the usual "don't rewrite accepted ADRs" rule, made because the request was to remove every trace.
  • ADR-0021's consequences now say that it is the only remaining record of Spec Kit.

Why

The repository owner asked to delete all remaining Spec Kit traces.

Delivery evidence

  • Lane: Lightweight (documentation only)
  • Feature spec: specs/001-engineering-baseline/spec.md
  • Requirement IDs: no new ones (FR-013 stays withdrawn)
  • Success criteria: no new ones (SC-005 to SC-007 stay withdrawn)
  • Gate 1 and Gate 2: reviewed artifacts changed, so their digests were refreshed. The "Re-approval After ADR-0021" section in both gate files says that approving and merging this PR re-approves the refreshed digests.

Behavior and TDD

  • Acceptance scenarios changed: N/A
  • No code changed.

Contract impact

  • Profiles: none

Verification

  • pnpm baseline:check: passed (38/38 Cucumber scenarios, skill validation passed; the two skill line-count warnings were already there before this PR)
  • pnpm exec prettier --check specs README.md docs: passed
  • grep -rniE 'spec[ -]?kit|speckit|\.specify': matches only ADR-0021 and the links to it

Risk / rollback

Documentation only. Revert this PR to roll it back.

Human review checklist

  • Required Gate 1 and Gate 2 approvals match the reviewed artifact digests.
  • Documentation and ADRs were updated when behavior or decisions changed.
  • AI-generated changes received manual review.
  • Final merge approval remains human-controlled.

Generated by Claude Code

Rewrite the 0.1.0 feature artifacts, README, and ADR-0018 so that
ADR-0021 is the only remaining record of Spec Kit. Withdrawn plan
phase 5, user story 4, and example-mapping rule 7 keep their numbers
as withdrawn placeholders. Gate 1 and Gate 2 digests are refreshed.
