Eldritch is a community-driven dark theme inspired by Lovecraftian horror. With tones from the dark abyss and an emphasis on green and blue, it caters to those who appreciate the darker side of life.

Every IntelliJ-platform IDE, build 232 (2023.2) or newer: IntelliJ IDEA, PhpStorm, WebStorm, PyCharm, GoLand, RubyMine, CLion, Rider, RustRover, DataGrip, DataSpell, Aqua and Android Studio.
- Open Settings → Plugins.
- Select the Marketplace tab and search for Eldritch Theme.
- Click Install, then restart the IDE if prompted.
- Download
eldritch-intellij-<version>-signed.zipfrom the Releases page. Do not unpack it. - Open Settings → Plugins.
- Open the ⚙ menu next to the tab bar and choose Install Plugin from Disk….
- Select the downloaded archive, then restart the IDE if prompted.
- Open Settings → Appearance & Behavior → Appearance.
- Set Theme to Eldritch, Eldritch Abyss or Eldritch Dusk.
The matching editor colour scheme is applied together with the theme. To pair an Eldritch editor scheme with a different UI theme, pick it separately under Settings → Editor → Color Scheme.

Colour usage follows the upstream SPEC.
Theme files under src/main/resources/themes/ are generated — edit tools/ instead and
regenerate. See BUILD.md.
