Delete asset source directory after copy

Hello,

Maybe you can add an option to delete the source directory of the assets after copying it from the vendor folder. This way, you can save storage. Maybe it can be an asset-strategy called "move".

Would this be possible?

Hello, thanks for idea. I think about it and it's little problematic, because we refresh all assets after each composer update / composer install so we need all assets be stored in vendor directory :-/ I have no idea how to solve it.

But if you prepare solution that will work, I like merge it.

But the assets only have to be moved, if they are changed. So consider the following 2 cases:

• assets directory is not present (apparently the composer package has not been updated, so no need to update the assets)
• assets directory is present (the opposite, so move the directory and replace the old one)

The only problem I see is the message by composer, that the original files have been deleted. I don't know, if it's possible to suppress this message for a specific folder.
