Custom Overrides for Basic Operators in MUI Formulas #24066

The problem in depth
We're considering MUI formula adoption for data grids within the application and are wondering why the feature does not support overrides for basic operators, specifically +, -, /, *, and ^. We utilize Big.js to avoid floating point errors that occur when using plain JS, and have experimented with the custom functions feature. Our initial thought was the custom functions for ADD, SUBTRACT, etc.. would take the place of the basic operators but from the research we've done this does not seem to be the case.
What we are wondering now is if this was intentional, and if so why? And if there are any plans in the future to allow an override for basic operations to support calculation libraries like big.js or otherwise custom logic?
