  • FTL: 6.8

Platform

  • OS and version: Debian GNU/Linux 13 (trixie)
  • Platform: RPi

Expected behavior

Pagination controls in Query Log /admin/queries stays at the same predictable location on screen, so that user can e.g. keep clicking "Next" without hunting for the button as it moves around

Actual behavior / bug

Sometimes Domain column in the table has a single line value, other times - 2 line value, which makes the table footer draw lower.

Steps to reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to Query Log page /admin/queries
  2. Click on 'Next' multiple times
  3. Observe the whole table footer, including the 'Next' button appearing at different Y coordinate on some pages

Additional context

This is a minor issue, yet still mildly annoying

Sometimes Domain column in the table has a single line value, other times - 2 line value, which makes the table footer draw lower.

This is expected, since some domain names are longer than others.

Here we have an impasse: some users prefer to see full domain names, even if the domain name breaks onto the next line. Other users prefer to see a fixed table, even if the domains are partially hidden.

    We use the first alternative.

I'm not saying we won't change anything, but I'm not sure it will be possible to please everyone.
