About the project
SQLGlot is an open source Python SQL parser, transpiler, and optimizer, published on PyPI since March 2021. sqlglotc provides optional mypyc-compiled extensions for SQLGlot and has been published since February 2026. We publish wheels for five Python versions across four platform groups. Total project storage grows with each release, and support for additional Python versions or platforms may increase release sizes. The current 10 GiB project limit interrupted the 30.21.0 release. We request 50 GiB to complete that release and continue publishing without removing prior releases needed by users with pinned versions.
How large is each release?
A complete recent release, 30.20.0, totals about 465 MiB: five Windows wheels total 54 MiB, five macOS wheels 157 MiB, five Linux x86-64 wheels 130 MiB, five Linux ARM64 wheels 124 MiB, and a source archive of about 0.5 MiB. The 10 GiB project limit stopped the 30.21.0 upload after 15 of 20 wheels; its source archive is also missing. The wheels contain the compiled extensions. We do not bundle example data.
How frequently do you make a release?
Roughly two to four releases per month, with occasional fixes closer together.
