WalkthroughChange types are now registered through model versions instead of ChangeTypeListBuilder. Remote-resource change registration is parameterless and uses metadata-independent discriminators. Configuration combines model-version and remote-resource change types, and duplicate discriminators produce an InvalidOperationException. The change removes validation that required model-version change types to appear in a separate registration list. Tests, sample configuration, and documentation now use the updated APIs. HarmonyConfig.ChangeTypes is now the types listed with Change<T>() across all model versions, plus the remote resource types AddCrdtRemoteResources registers, so ChangeTypeListBuilder is gone and apps no longer keep two lists that had to match. RemoteResourceChanges() lists the remote resource discriminators, which don't depend on the metadata type. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

what happens here if we add a new resource change? this was probably relevant before now too

Yeah, good question. I hadn't thought of new change types, but my design in #141 would handle both new and bumped changes, by putting them in a new harmony version that you reference when you call e.g. RemoteResourceChanges(HarmonyVersion.V2).

I don't understand why we need this special case, the remote resource change types must be declared in the model version.

I had to decide between:
- Only declare the metadata type once
- Declare the metadata type twice and validate that they're the same
I had 2, then switch to 1, but I think I'll go back to 1 😆.

Done in 405aa3f2: RemoteResourceChanges<TMetadata>() registers the types again, and startup fails if its metadata type doesn't match AddCrdtRemoteResources<TMetadata>.
RemoteResourceChanges<TMetadata>() registers the five types like Change<T>(), so model versions are the only registration path. The validator checks AddCrdtRemoteResources and RemoteResourceChanges use the same metadata type or are both absent; this drops the union in ChangeTypes, the NoMetadata stand-in and the CheckFrozen guard. Makes model versions the only way to register change types:
ChangeTypeListBuilderis gone, andRemoteResourceChanges<TMetadata>()registers the remote resource types likeChange<T>().ChangeTypeListBuilder.Addcalls), so it should merge before a NuGet release.AddCrdtRemoteResources<T>andRemoteResourceChanges<T>disagree on the metadata type or only one is called, and when a version lists a type under a discriminator another type already uses.🤖 Generated with Claude Code
